Dr Simon Winder graduated from the University of NSW in 1996 and has been practicing mainly in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for over 20 years. He also has experience in Emergency and Accident Medicine. He completed a Master of Strategic Studies at ANU and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He also holds a Master of Reproductive Medicine and a Master of Womens Health Medicine. He provides a range of medical services including contraception, pregnancy planning, cervical screening, menstrual disorders and menorrhagia.

Dr Simon Winder

She has received extensive training both in Australia and overseas, and is a specialist in laparoscopic surgery. She is a compassionate and understanding practitioner who takes the time to listen to your concerns and thoroughly explain your treatment options.

Her special interests lie in gynecology and women’s health. She is interested in issues related to infertility and pregnancy loss, as well as endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain. She has also conducted high-fidelity simulations to improve multidisciplinary care during emergencies. She supervises specialists-in-training who are accredited by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Additionally, she is a qualified supervisor for the DRANZCOG Advanced program, which is designed to equip general practitioners with the skills needed to perform minimally-invasive gynaecological surgery.

In addition to her qualifications and experience, Dr Basheer has also completed a fellowship in high-risk obstetrics and has a Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound. She is committed to continued education and holds a joint associate lectureship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of NSW. She also serves as an examiner for RANZCOG pre-examination courses. Dr Basheer’s family lives in Illawarra with¬†Dr Simon Winder her husband and two small boys.

Dr David Greening

Dr David Greening, senior gynaecologist at the Illawarra Womens Specialist Centre is an experienced Obstetrician and Reproductive Endocrinologist. He has trained in many world-renowned medical institutions and has over 2,500 babies delivered locally. Dr Greening is an expert in fertility and is available for new patient consultations.

Dr Greening combines public and private practice in the care of his patients. He works with patients from various backgrounds and is a published author. He is also an advocate for lower cost fertility care. His clinic is located in Wollongong and has been in operation for over 8 years. Dr Greening has two midwives on staff.

Dr Greening’s rooms are privately billed, but he offers bulk billing, as appropriate. In addition, he offers no-gap surgery. He also has a strong commitment to teaching medical students about gynecology.
